We have noticed that many people like our web site, especially the show listings. We have noticed it, because some of you (only a few) are copying and pasting the complete page from us onto their own sites. This is flattering that you like what we do so much that you use it as your own, but please don't do it. You are doing us, yourself and your visitors a disservice. We update Capital Cruisin' almost every single day. By copying and posting our material once, you will not have the most up-to-date information in later weeks. If you run a club web site and want to post some show listings that you want the whole club to attend, that's fine. Copying the whole page is not. Link to our pages instead so that you are providing your vistors with the most up-to-date information without doing all the work. We do that. Thanks! Nick Capital Cruisin'

MAY 17th The 8th Annual Children’s Miracle Network Fundraiser will be held from 9 AM to 6 PM at the Fredericksburg Fairgrounds in Fredericksburg VA. Entry fee is $10. Top 25 awards as well as trophies for Best Car, Best Truck, Best Bike and Best Industrial Truck. Activities include a craft show, horse rides, a petting zoo, barrel train rides, Fredericksburg Police K9 Show, face painting, tatooing, balloon sculptures, Elvis tribute Artists, a Johnny Cash impersonator and music bands. MAY 17th The Sheriff Branch Relay For Life 1st Annual Car & Truck Show will be held from 8 AM till 2:20 PM at Culpeper County High School in Culpeper VA. MAY 18th The Towson Car Show will be held at Oregon Ridge Park in Hunt Valley MD. Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Towson MD as a fundraiser. Proceeds from the car chow will be re-invested in the community via the Towson Rotary Foundation. Bring your car, bring the kids, it will be a fun day. Book your parking spot today!

MAY 18th The Good Time Cruisers 8th Annual Car Show will be held from 8 AM till 3 PM rain or shine at Harry’s Tires and Wheels at 31300 Constitution Hwy (Route 20) in Locust Grove VA. Breakfast/Lunch served by East Orange Ruritans. $15 entry fee. Dash Plaques to first 100 registered. Two $50 cash drawings (1 for pre-register, 1 for all registered). MAY 24thThe Hampstead Day Car Show will be held from 8 AM till 3 PM on the parking lot of the M&T Bank at 1200 N Main St in Hampstead MD. Show presented by the Hampstead Lions Club as part of the annual Hampstead Day celebration. The car show is just part of a huge town wide celebration with a flea market, art & crafts and all kinds of food. There will be trophies given for the top 10 chosen vehicles and dash plaques with goodie bags will be given out. This show is participant judged and is open to all makes and models. Entry for this show is FREE for both participants and spectators, but donations will be accepted. Rod Saboury is scheduled to display his "World's Fastest Street Driven '63 Corvette". MAY 24th The 5th Annual Shane Evans Car Show and Benefit will be held at the Carrolltown Mall in Eldersburg MD from 9 AM till 3 PM. Raindate is May 24th 12 noon to 6 PM. All proceeds to go to the Shane Evans Fallen Officers Scholarship Fund. This fund is for the families of fallen police officers children to go to college. Last year 4 $1,000 scholarships were presented. Live music-food and lots of vendors. Special class for active police cars and vintage police cars. Open to all vehicles. 100 awards. $15 gate fee. JUNE 1st The 19th Annual Kena Shriners Car Club Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show will be held at the Kena Shrine Center at 9001 Arlington Blvd in Fairfax VA from 10 AM till 3 PM. This is an open show for all years of cars, trucks and motorcycles, antiques, classics, street rods, street machines, customs, muscle, foreign, etc. Paved parking lot, concessions, free parking, indoor rest rooms, music and door prizes. SPECIAL EVENT JUNE 7th The Fredericksburg Circuit Cruise! Tonight at 4 PM, weather permitting, at Bruster's in Stafford. Stops included on the circuit are A1 Speed Shop, Sonic on Rt 3 and Fosters Grille in Masaponax. The circuit cruise will initially be held the 1st Saturday of every month and may evolve to the first and third Saturday.

JUNE 7th The Spring Fling 2008 Classic Car Show will be held from 10 AM to 3 PM at Berea Baptist Church at 28 Fleet Rd in Fredericksburg VA. Open to all cars and trucks pre-1983. Raindate is June 14th. Pre-registration $10, Registration Day of Show is $15. Trophy presentations for: People's Choice, Car People's Choice Truck, Best Paint, Best Engine Compartment, Best of Show, Door Prizes, Automobile trivia Contest. Two moon bounces for the kids. JUNE 8th The Orange County Cruisers Show will be held from 8 AM to 3 PM at the Orange County Booster Park in Orange VA. Top awards and specialty awards to be presented. JUNE 14th The 2nd Annual Stafford Classic Summer Show will be held at the Mt Ararat Baptist Church at 65 Toluca Rd in Stafford VA. Stafford Classics is a Capital Cruisin Sponsor so go and help them out by attending this show! JUNE 21st The Family Fun Day Car Show will be held in Sherando Park in Stephens City VA from 11 AM till 4 PM. Registration is 9 to 11 AM. $10 entry includes a family pass to event (family must be in show vehicle). Dash plaques to the first 100 registered vehicles. Awards TOP 25 participant vote, live music, children's and adult games, food, etc. The Valley Cruisers of Winchester are hosting the car show. Valley Cruiser members are not eligible for TOP 25 awards. Valley Cruisers that enter a car will be judged separately for TOP 10 awards by members of the Frederick County Rotary Club. JUNE 22nd The 22nd Annual Rod Run hosted by the Custom Cruisers of Northern Virginia will be held at Ted Britt Ford in Chantilly VA from 10 AM till 3 PM. Entry fee is $15. Proceeds to benefit Children's Hospital and the Wounded Warrior Project. Show open to all makes and models of American Classics, Street Rods, Musclecars, Customs, Pro Street Machines and Antiques. JUNE 22nd 19th Annual Liberty Street Rods of Maryland Car Show and Rod Run

JUNE 27-28th The 7th Annual Star City Motor Madness car cruise and show will be held in Roanoke VA. Cruise Williamson Rd, Roanoke's main drag for cruising since the 1950s. In 2007, approximately 15,000 cars, trucks and motorcycles gathered for the cruise. The combined events drew over 80,000 people! Read more about it here and see more pictures here.

JUNE 29th The 16th Annual Prince William Cruisers Good Ol' Days Car Show will be held at Occoquan Regional Park at 9751 Ox Rd in Lorton VA from 9 AM till 3 PM. Rain date is July 13th. JULY 5th The 2nd Annual Car Show for the Troops will be held at Old Dominion Speedway in Manassas VA from 10 AM to 1:30 PM. This is an open show for classics, antiques, street rods, trucks, competition cars, and motorcycles that will be judged by members of the U.S. Military. Trophies for Top 25 and dash plaques for the first 200 registered. Pre-registration is $15 and $20 on the day of the event. First 200 registered cruisers get a dash plaque and goodie bag. Join the Late Great Chevys of MD, Heart of MD Classic Chevy Club, the Damascus Lions Club, Damascus Rotary, Damascus Volunteer Fire Dept and the Damascus Community Alliance for a fun day in the sun. JULY 19th Clem's 12th Annual Cruise-In will be held at the Newtown Commons in Stephens City VA. Raindate is July 20th. Free Registration from 8 AM to 12 noon with Cruise-In from 1 to 6 PM. A special commemorative Teddy Bear will be given out to the first 275 registered vehicles and the first 30 registered tractors at 5 PM. Commemorative Dash plaques and T-shirts will be available for sale. 50/50, raffles, Chinese auction & special raffle of commemorative (children's) covered wagon honoring the 250th Anniversary of Newtown (famous in the 1800's for their Conestoga Wagons that the settlers used to go West), longest distance traveled award, club participation, junker award, most Patriotic themed decorated vehicle and tractor award. In honor of the 250th Anniversary of Stephens City, the Mayor will present a special 250th Anniversary Teddy Bear for his favorite vehicle. Also in honor of Newtown's (Stephen's City) 250th Anniversary we will have a Flag pole dedication and the burying of a Time Capsule to be opened in the year 2058! There will be a special scroll for everyone to sign and will be placed in the time capsule. So come on out and be apart of history! JULY 19th Super Chevy Cruise In will be held at at the Outlets at 68 Heather Lane Suite 46 in Perryville MD from 12 noon to 4 PM. The Baltimore County Corvette Club is sponsoring the get together with the Perryville Outlet Center. All GM vehicles are welcomed. $10 entry fee. JULY 26th The Manassas Park High School Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show will be held at Manassas Park High School in Manassas VA from 9 AM till 3 PM. AUG 28th Cruisin' Main Street Frostburg Relive those wonderful days of Rock n' Roll, cruisin' Main Street, boppin at the Malt Shop, and just hanging out listening to some great tunes on the radio. You'll find it all at the Fifth Annual Cruisin' Main Street Frostburg. If you are lucky enough to own a great car from that era, you can join in this American Graffiti style cruise by parading it in front of hundreds of appreciative spectators lining Main Street, Frostburg from 5 to 11 PM.
