The last day of racing at 75/80 Dragway

Most pictures courtesy of Rick Byerly. Thanks Rick!

After 45 years of operation (1960-2005), 75/80 Dragway in Monrovia MD closed its lanes on October 30th, 2005. The track has been family owned and operated by the Wilcom brothers. Betty Wilcom operated the food stand and made the chili for those incredible chili dogs. The last day was packed with spectators and cars. They came to say thanks for all the great memories and goodbye to an old friend...RIP 75/80!

This 55 raced here on the very first day in 1960!
